有機產品深受注重健康人士歡迎，但浸大有機資源中心抽查82個蔬菜樣本，發現63%被驗出含有除害劑殘餘，其中有25%和17%為本地和內地認證有機菜被驗出除害劑殘餘。中心稱，有機產品市場欠缺監管，促政府盡快立法保障消費者。
浸大有機資源中心在去年12月至今年2月，在各區濕街市、超市及有機商店等收集82個菜心和芥蘭等蔬菜樣本，檢驗352種除害劑殘餘含量。結果顯示，當中52個樣本驗出除害劑殘餘。當中以內地常規（非有機）菜、本地聲稱有機菜被驗出除害劑殘餘比例最高，分別佔同類別的85%和83%。至於獲認證的有機蔬菜，亦分別有25%和17%本地和內地有機菜驗出除害劑殘餘。
調查指出，大部份除害劑殘餘量均合乎法例規定，超標樣本佔總數3.7%，較前年減少。超出本港標準的常規蔬菜樣本包括楊屋道街市的菜心和芥蘭樣本，除害劑殘餘量分別超標1.5倍及0.7倍。另一購自牛池灣街市的內地常規菜心樣本則超標0.1倍。
中心總監黃煥忠指，一般食用份量對健康不會構成影響，建議可先浸泡蔬菜不少於半小時去除農藥。他續指，近年聲稱售賣有機產品的商販比例上升，但真確度成疑，更發現大圍街市有菜檔盜用有機認證標籤，欺騙消費者，已交海關跟進。
食物及衞生局局長陳肇始無正面回應會否立法規管。海關稱，對接獲的舉報，會作出了解和跟進，但不評論個別個案。
